My kids and I absolutely love this place. Three food is authentic and three staff is always super nice. My daughter had a choice of this and Chuck-E-Cheese and she chose Maria's.

Lived here in Denham all my life and only recently found this place. Wish I knew about this place long ago. Great food! Best texmex around here. Great service and love the enchiladas.

Meh. Probably the worst tex-mex that I've had. Do not recommend. The fajitas left alot to be desired. The meat had an odd texture (like it was microwaved) and was cut into wide, unwieldy chunks.

Great service and good margaritas! Made fresh to order. Great menu selection at reasonable prices.

Five stars is what I'm screaming ! This place gives "Taco Bell" a run for their money! I've lived in denham my whole life and ate here a handful of times put it that way...lol

I have read all of these bad reviews and am shocked! We live right around the corner and eat here VERY often. If we are gathering a group of friends for dinner we almost always eat here. We love the food. The staff is very friendly and the owner is almost always onsite. It isn't the most "Mexican" atmosphere to say the least, but I don't choose a restaurant based on decorations. Also the food quality is def not like going to a place that charges $30+ dollars for a little plate of fajita meat, but for the price and the quick service it is well worth the price. I recommend the white queso.

Although we can cook a Mexican dish at home sometimes it feels good to eat out. The food was disgusting, not authentic! Chili rellenos is not made with yellow cheese and it's not supposed to be fried. However, the service was phenomenal!! Our waitress was VERY tentative. We will never eat here again!!!

I'm only giving this place a one star because I couldn't give less. I have never waited so long for food in my life, and the "Louisiana's best margaritas" were so syrupy and sickeningly sweet. This place is NOT worth coming to.

We went last night and really wish we wouldn't have. First they don't seat you. Just find a table and have a seat. Second they give you one basket of chips any after that you have to pay for. Third the salsa is absolutely disgusting. Fourth my son cut his tongue on a chicken bone. And I cut my lip on an unshelled shrimp so now I have a cut and its swollen. The food was so unbelievably horrible!! The waitresses were nice so that's the only good thing about the place. I would suggest avoiding the place at all costs!!!

Had some tacos to-go this evening and they were perfect! Wish I could have had more than two! Wonderful! I will be back! Thank you!

I used to love this place, however, my last visit was gravely disappointing. I had the fish tacos that were border line inedible. The Spanish rice had no flavor and seemed old. I also had what used to be the only chile relleno that I enjoyed. It was obviously a recooked frozen version. The poblano pepper was mush and the cheese filling was grainy. It also had a harsh freezer burnt flavor. At least the chips and salsa were good. Needless to say I don't expect to return here anytime soon.

Happy hour 3-6 is a good time to go if you want 1/2 price appetizers & 2fo1 beer..overall very dissapointed. The waitress even hinted to me that they've catered it to the people around here (all the folks that eat bland food) you can thank them for that! Should have taken a hint & got out while I had a chance. The salsa is very runny,I ordered what I thought was nachos w/ chicken but instead overfried oily chips w/ cheese that you find in a Kraft bag at walmart over the chips & there you have it folks. Certain people have sucked all the authenticity out of Mexican joints. I cant even enjoy a traditional ethnic cuisine around here b/c the majority of country bumpkins have ruined it for the rest of us. They should really have a budlight presents: 'here's to you who's complains its too hot or too authentic & is the killjoy for everyone else at an ethnic rest's commercial They cant even make it authentic anymore because of the 'local' population..just despicable. Just like many others before; I was told it used to be good when they 1st opened. Not worth even trying-btw beware of the parking situation..since you are parked on the side of a busy road. Be especially carefully when pulling out..

It was a little pricey for what you got, and the quality was just not there. Queso tasted like what you get at a sporting event. Complete with canned jalapeños! Margaritas were overpriced and all sweet and sour mix. The entrees themselves were not bad, but not extraordinary. The saving grace for the meal was the fresh pico de gallo.

Loved the freshly made chips & really loved the salsa, although the second serving we got of the salsa was much thinner than the first. I tried the taco salad, which was much smaller than most usually are and just ok. My husband had the super deluxe burrito, which was huge, but again just ok. The server was nice, but didn't know the menu well, and the table across from us had dirty dishes on it the entire time we were there. We'll try again, even if only for the salsa, but I hope the next experience is better.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
